FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, I do offer year-round sessions, preferably on weekends, but weekdays are available. I like to schedule my sessions an hour or two before sunset, which varies based on the time of the year. If it’s a cloudy day, then I like it to be about 3 hours before sunset. An hour or so after morning sunrise is also incredibly beautiful for photography. This time might be a bit too early for families with young children but if you feel adventurous, we can give it a go! If you prefer a session at another time, a location with some shade will be needed.
The balance for your session will be due on the day of your photo session.
All sessions require a 30% non-refundable retainer, this will go towards the total session cost. If any cancellation, the retainer will be forfeited. If you would like to reschedule, it must be 14 days before your scheduled session, the paid retainer will be applied toward the new date. Please note, you only have six months to reschedule. Only one reschedule will be permitted. If the reschedule notice is less than 14 days away from your scheduled session, a new retainer will be needed to secure the new date.
If by any chance it rains the day of your photography session, we have some options.
- How about dancing in the rain and splashing in puddles? Something like the movie Singin’ in the Rain. Grab some umbrellas, rain boots and perhaps raincoats. Sounds like a blast if you ask me!?! Definitely a memory you will always remember!
- If it’s too much rain and you rather avoid it, we can perhaps start earlier, have a indoor photo session or reschedule for a new date depending on the forecast.
In a perfect world kids and/or pets would be excellent all the time. Since this is not a perfect world, we do not expect kids and/or pets to always be on their best behavior during family or kids’ sessions. If your kids and/or pets are a bit naughty, it’s okay. I will work with them patiently and make the session as fun as I can. This atmosphere produces the most genuine photos, full of smiles and laughs. What I ask of you is to allow your kids and/or pets to be themselves. For the duration of the session, they are in charge. Please do not to say no or scold them for anything during our time together, they need to be understood! I want to capture them at their most natural… giggles, dancing, making faces, running, and smiling – they cannot be forced. I need you to be the SUPERSTARS, so go with it!
